Clean and pretty quiet. Desk help was great. Very hard to find from the road. Pets welcome, which is why I chose the place. No coffeemaker but the lobby had very good coffee. The parking lot was busy all night. I would stay here again.
Ive stayed at numerous other red roofs and other chains. But if i had any problem with my room or stay it was immediately fix. When i say now.. Right now it was GM dale is tremendous courteous and down to earth on point. House keeping is getting better so is maintance. Ask and you shall get a answer. Love this place!
The hotel was nice enough and the staff was friendly. However, there were two incidents during stay. First of all, we paid for a premium room, but did not receive the amenities included. This was minor. More significantly, they had no usable water. We couldn't drink the water, wash our hands, brush our teeth, or shower. To be fair, they did tell us before checking in and allow us to cancel our reservation with no penalty. However, we got in after 11 PM, so we couldn't find another affordable hotel that allowed pets. They did offer us bottled water for free. It was still very inconvenient and we feel that we should've been contacted by the hotel ahead of time so we could've made alternative plans or been offered a discount on the room rate.
I rated the hotel a 2. It's not the worst hotel I've stayed in, most nights... This particular visit would be a 1.
The people that work there, the ones I encountered were very courteous. The room was okay, missing a few items you usually see in most hotel rooms but that might help in keeping the costs down. It wasn't anything that was too much of an inconvenience but some people might. The hotel is in a odd location and it can be easily missed when you're trying to find it.
I've stayed in this hotel approximately 5 times over the past 2 years. It is a convenient stopping point for me when I'm crossing West Virginia, and their pet friendly policy initially attracted me to them. Unfortunately, I think every visit has been worse than the last, and I may be finished with this location all together. I feel the hotel upkeep has noticeably decreased, and my comfort in staying has decreased as well. As I type this I am laying in bed in my room, unable to sleep due to the various noises from the heating system. I also learned when checking in that the entire hotel is without potable water... So no shower, drinking water, or other contact with the water is advised. It makes me wonder how the room could have been cleaned.
