I would just like to say that dr Cassiss directly costed my grandmother her vision. She had a major problem and he told her it was nothing. The next dr she went to had to basically tell her she would never see again and directly said dr cassiss should have caught it at her last appointment. As she is in her mid 80s she chose not to sue but she should have. I would also like to say I had to call the office once for my other grandparent and the wife of dr Cassis talked to me in as rude of manor as I have eve been spoken to. The other dr simply stated that dr cassis should have "caught it". my grandmother has suffered ever since this. He didn't insult him. It wasn't his grandmother who had been railroaded by negligence. I am the one who thinks this should be public to prevent future incidents, and maybe dr cassis will wake up and never let this happen again. It was just an awful thing that happened. What was the other dr supposed to do? Lie to us and say cassis did great? He gave a medical opinion on what he saw. Period. Perhaps if this was Mrs rowseys family member she would feel differently. Perhaps if my grandma were a big time attorney like others on here she would have received top notch care. I am not a big time attorney but that doesn't mean I don't have the right to take up for my family when they are wronged and write an honest review.
excellent reputation. fine MD, friendly staff. Board certified with extensive experience.
Dr. Cassis personally answered the phone at 8:00pm one evening when I had a severe reaction to something. Both of my eyes were blood red caused by Subconjunctival hemorrhage (not just your normal red allergy eyes). The next morning the staff took me in the back door and were SUPER SUPER careful that I didn't touch anything as to not contaminate anything or anyone. I can image the trauma that other patients would have gone though to see me walk through the front door!! The care I received over the phone while scared to death because of what my eyes looked like, along with the expert care I received in the office is exactly why Dr. Cassis is highly recommended. Be prepared to wait in the waiting rooms though. He is VERY thorough and will take what ever time is needed to treat you. It's because of this detailed care I think he does tend to run behind schedule.
Dr. Cassis is one of the few really knowledgeable eye doctors in this city. He found a rare condition in my eye and has treated it successfully. I would never trust a doctor who bad mouths another doctor as one of the reviewers stated.
Excellent will go to him again when needed.
