This place is a fort. High security. I had no clue they accepted drop off packages. They need to have signs up for customers. I understand the security. But if you're going to accept packages the least you can do is have a designated area for it.
While FedEx as a company has never failed to deliver my packages in a timely manner, the on-site Customer Service is far from the commercials of smiling delivery persons, clad in purple and black clothing, driving safely and promptly delivering. As you pull into the parking lot, you may notice halfway down the fence a turnstile that resembles a deathtrap from an old horror movie. If you happen to miss read the signs and their confusing directions of enter here, don't enter here, ring for service and go to the security office, you may be greeted by a voice over the intercom, loudly exclaiming that you need to adhere to the signs. Obviously I didn't follow the directions correctly, otherwise my rain dance of duck and weave two steps forward and back would have let me in. Once you enter the security post, which bares a great resemblance to the TSA check station of an airport, you may be greeted by another individual who will say that they saw you going to the wrong gate but just "wanted to see what you are doing." Then, after explaining that you need to pick up a package, being told you have the wrong tracking number and then handing over your cell phone through a tray in the wall so that they can see the email for themselves, they will then radio to see if your package is there, that you already confirmed via phone before your arrival. Then after signing paperwork, answering questions about its contents and mentally preparing yourself for a cavity search since you just spent the last 20 minutes eyeballing the security officers Krispy Kreme doughnuts and getting a look of "touch and die", they will hand you your package, return to their side and wait for you to leave without a word of thanks, leave, go away or never come back. If at all possible, always make sure they can deliver your packages to your home. Good luck.
