Beautiful golden dome on capital building. Tourists are allowed inside building and there is an adjacent museum to tour around in. There is a lot of West Va history about coal mines etc
The West Virginia capitol building nice inside - marble walls and floors. Out front, the stairs lead you to the river. Also on the property is a memorial for soldiers of the civil war, WWI and WWII, Vietnam, etc. Lastly, the capital museum is located on the same plot of land.

Marble EVERYWHERE! Very beautiful building built in the 1920's. Full of West Virginia State history. There are elevators and many steps! Huge place, I never saw all of it.
