I dropped of boots for one zipper to be repaired. Owner said to call back in 3 weeks and they should be done by then. When I called he seemed annoyed that I was calling. He said I will call YOU when they are done and if you are so worried about your boots you can call back. A few days later he called to say they were ready. My husband went to pick them up and he again acted annoyed that he was there. The boots seemed repaired but with a big globe of hard, white glue on the bottom of the zipper. I put them on and they did not zip even once without breaking. When my husband returned with the boots he said he didn't have time to fix them. Total waste of time and he is very rude to boot. haha
Doing best can a long time
I saw 2 reviews that confirmed what I felt when I called to inquire about the zipper repair service. When I asked the gentleman a couple of questions, he seemed to be perturbed by me asking him anything. If I'm not mistaken, I believe the proprietor is the same guy who had a shoe repair shop on Fife St in Charleston and if so that explains a lot. I took some shoes in that shop before, he was not very friendly, so I took my shoes and exited the establishment quickly.
Great dude, he knows what he is doing. I always bring my diabetic/brace shoes to him and he fixes them. Two thumbs up from me.
The Shoe Guy is a class act. On Friday, I told him my daughter was leaving for college in three days and we needed her boots remade before she left. He said, I can do that, I understand your circumstances. When I arrived on Monday, the boots were done and looked fantastic. Thank you, Shoe Guy!
