Repair service seem fine after a couple of days. Response time could be better
The repairman came four days after I called. The window was "sometime between 8-5", which I think is too broad a window. But the repairman called at 8 on the morning of the service date and gave a 2 hour window, 1:45-3:45, which was better but too late to reschedule my work day. He repaired the mower and it works great. The service call of $98 plus parts and labor is high but I knew that going in. He was efficient, polite, and knew what he was doing.
The technician was very knowledgeable and had the part needed with him.

The technician was great. The system in making appointments is very bad. When I have a "service agreement" I expect timely service. Not to be told that I have an appointment two weeks away to repair my AC in the summer. I should not have to "wait my turn" when any one who need service without a service agreement is given time in front of me. I have paid in advance for service when needed, if needed. If Sears cannot provide timely service they should not sell service. I have been a Sears customer for 50 years and in the last ten years service has constantly declined. Hopefully things will improve!
