I hate to leave a negative review on a place I'm sure helps some people. However, I felt my story should be heard. Today I went into this church in efforts to get a few days food for my children and myself. I am a recently divorced mother of two and though I work a fulltime job I just couldn't make ends meet and unfortunately have ran a few days short on food. I am ashamed and embarrassed but however I needed food for my children. As soon as I walked up to the window one of the ladies immediately turned me away stating that I was new and the did not have any paper applications left so I could come back next Monday. I explained I will not need it the seeing as in I get paid on Thursday. She just said sorry. I left tears in my eyes with my kids. I just had explained to my 8 yr old that this was a church they are nice they will help us get food. I've yet to tell him as we left that we will in fact not be getting any food. Seems wrong to me that just because someone didn't make enough copies of a paper application that my children might have to be hungry.
