Wonderful dinner with 7 longtime friends. Nice atmosphere. Good food. Excellent service. Highly recommend.
Stopped by for dinner on a Friday night after travelling from Parkersburg to do some work at the mall. Ordered the Fried Oyster appetizer, the Seafood Grille entree, and the Tiramisu. Overall, the food was excellent. Portions are small, but sides are plentiful along with the bread. The bread is also excellent. The lemonade was very weak, see if it improves for me!
We have been traveling through Charleston for the past ten years and have always anticipated our visit to the Tidewater. Yesterday was an exception. While our server was attentive and the Caribbean Jerk Shrimp were execellent, the two entrees were absolutely awful. I had the Parmesan encrusted sole, which turned out to have the consistency of mashed potatoes with a slathering of cream sauce (yuck). My wife had a dubious cod and that had limited texture. The kitchen said it really wasn’t cod, but they hadn’t made the change to the menu. I ended up not sending my sole back because by then I was embarrassed for our server. It may be a while before we try Tidewater again.
We had 12 people for dinner and it was quite good. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the service was excellent. My fillet was a little on the top side even though it was cooked medium rare but aside from that excellent
Their homemade bread was definitely the best part of the meal. Other than that, the rest of the food was okay, nothing special. For the price, I was a little disappointed. They did work with our party to fix mistakes that were made, but we would have preferred that they weren't made in the first place.
